Vermicomposting in the cold-climate apartment - Paper Composting

This year’s Carry-In-Carry-Out (CICO) project is to vermicompost the paper that arrives in my apartment.

I produce bales of cross-cut shredded paper and would like a food-scraps-free method of reducing this paper.

Paper is now my biggest concern in terms of waste.

Cathy Nesbitt says “add nitrogen”, so I’ve explored web sites and discovered:

Of all the nitrogen sources I can find (to Saturday, April 08, 2006) the ones that appear to me to be non-food (in the sense of non-insect/vermin attractors) are:
